Animation Bracelet in Laser Cut Acrylic December 13

Originally designed as an entry in Ponoko’s previous jewelry competition. The Animation Bracelet would be laser cut from acrylic, and the animation tiles would be glued in place. It consists of a flexible inner bracelet and a rotating outer ring held in place by a clasp. Ben edited the frames from Muybridge’s motion study photographs to work for this.

Based in Minnesota, Ben has a degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics, quite interesting to see such a playful piece come from such a serious background. Ben has also used Ponoko to produce his ‘Ponoko Bowl 3B‘ which can be seen in his Coroflot Portfolio.
