Wings 3D - Open Source 3D Modeling October 18
Wings 3D is a subdivision 3D modeler inspired by Nendo and Mirai from Izware. Available on Mac PC & Linux it is possible to assign materials, vertex color, UV coordinates and textures but no animation yet.

The site has a useful forum with tips & tutes, gripes and grumbles, links, release announcements etc. etc. the development is through SourceForge, so you can track the bugs, download & submit code.
