On Site: Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fair May 22
On Site will be a series that covers trade shows, craft fairs, exhibitions, and other events. I aim to actually be on site, but in some cases that just can’t happen. So it was with the Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fair. The annual trade show organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, featured nearly four thousand exhibitors featuring their products for the gift, stationary, home goods, jewelry and accessory industries. Here, I’d like to share just two of the vendors who are offering laser cut designs.
Green & Associates established in 1994 is a housewares manufacturer and stationary company based in Hong Kong.

Thai companies Voravan and Tiga Co. Ltd, collaborated on the Kaewkoi project. It’s a line of interlocking shapes in variety of designs which can be used to create wall art, placemats, rugs, or even a lamp shade. Kaewkoi is a Thai word meaning “the action of two loving people cross their little fingers together.” The intricate flowers and medallions come in white, bright colors of a “flexible material” and natural wood.
